Almost 2009!

How crazy is that people!!!??? It is almost 2009. 2008 seems somewhat of a blur right now....can't imagine why. Oh yeah, pregnancy brain has taken over. I suffer from chronic DRS. (Don't remember shhhhtuff)

SERIOUSLY!!! I don't. Oh well.

I need to take the Christmas decorations down. I am hopeful that my dear husband will help me do that tomorrow. He is taking the day off of work to go with me to the YOU'RE OVER 35 ULTRASOUND...and then we are going to go out to lunch.

Since the knee surgery and news of Quatro, we didn't put up all the decorations that we normally do. Thank the good Lord. That means less to pack back up. I typically try to get all the decorations packed up the day after Christmas, but I had to take a nap this year. :)

We will be making the trek to GramMabel's the end of the week. Merr Cri'Mas Chil'ren. And Kool Mentol Cigarettes here we come. Yee - haw.

This week in Review

This has been an ok week. We are still trying to wrap our brains around the BIG NEWS of baby, we refer to "it" as Quatro. I am feeling "ok". Which for me means, I am not throwing up all the time. Just some of the time. I actually do better in the mornings than in the later afternoons and evenings.

And I stay exhausted, but don't sleep very well. My left hip has already started bothering me. Which only means that when I am "big bellied" that it will really bother me and I will have to sleep sitting up downstairs in the big chair.

Otherwise, we are SLOWLY getting ready for Christmas. I still have LOTS of shopping to do on Monday and Tuesday, but will alternate taking the boys out to help me. Biggest problem is just really don't know what to get any of them. Have a couple of little things - really would like to give them gift cards and money and let them pick out what they want after the fact!!!

Kind of sad since they are still young!!!

Hubby is doing really well with his knee. He can "almost" walk down the stairs like a normal guy...regular walking - you would never know that he had anything done.

MY BROTHER came home last night. Thanks to his sweet girl friend Amanda, who went and picked him up in Atlanta. He looks really good and it was lots of fun to hear his stories last night. The kids just kept staring at him and smiling. He has NO hair and is really skinny - very muscular but very skinny. And he was in his army wear and his and just looked very handsome.

That's it - not writing a lot right now - just can't get the energy some days......

Happy Holidays to all.

Careful what ya say.

As you can read below in my post dated December 4, you, ok , well, I, need to be very careful what I say. See that last line, look down, where I said and I quote " When I say I am maxed out, I really mean it. Can't. Take. Anymore."

God has a sense of humor folks. Why do i say that you ask...How about this for a laugh..

I am 9 weeks and 2 days pregnant!!!

Now let me tell you why this means God has a sense of humor. I was on those nifty little things called pills. And no, I didn't forget to take one, thank you. I was like of those dumb little teenagers who goes into the doctor for one reason or the other and finds out she is knocked up. I went in for an ultrasound to check for female plumbing problems, which I don't have. And while doing the ultrasound, Oh look, there's a baby, in a bar.

Hubby and bebe's have taken it quite well. I am still a little stunned. Getting used to the idea of the fact that I will never be done at the elementary school (which thank goodness I love it there) but still, I'm going to be the old lady that gives tours and says "I remember way back when this school opened all those years ago".)

Seriously. I am truly maxed out now.

Big Fat Lie

What idiot said that bad things come in threes, can't count.

I am demanding a recount.

Now.

1. Grandmother passed away. (And while she was ready and I know she is in a better place, it is still can qualify as a "bad thing".)

2. Got sick with a stomach Yuck.

3. Poor Cat died.

4. Hubby had knee surgery. (And again, I am really not in the mood for "it was for the best" and all that, I am counting here people, back off. It was still a pain (no pun intended) and an added expense at a bad time of the year.)

5. Lola got sick. She got sick with something different that what I had.

6. I got with what Lola had.

7. The two of us were sick over Thanksgiving. (That happened last year and I find it to be a bad time for it.)

8. Didn't get decorations up because of reason #6.

9. Furnace broke. Waiting on HVAC man to show up to see if it can be fixed until March at which point I will promise to whoever i need to to replace it then. Replacing it right now is not an option.

That's 9.

Three times what the rule states.

When I say I am maxed out, I really mean it. Can't. Take. Anymore.
