Local Wal-Mart.
The husband picks up a case of Budweiser and puts it in their cart. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the wife. 'They're on sale, only $10 for 24 cans,' he replies. 'Put them back, we can't afford them,' demands the wife,
And so they carry on shopping.
A few aisles further on along the woman picks up a $20 jar of face cream and puts it in the basket. 'What do you think you're doing?' asks the husband. 'Its my face cream. It makes me look beautiful,' replies the wife.
Her husband retorts: 'So does 24 cans of Budweiser and its half the price.'
On the PA system: 'Cleanup needed on aisle 3. We have a husband down...

Yes, it's been a while.
I knew that it had been, but my friend Cutts, had to remind me. So this update is for her :)
Since my last post and having such a lovely day...here in Charlotte we have been presented with a couple of days of plain old crap weather. And I'm sick of it. No. there's been no Tsunami or anything like that, but just tired of the COLD and RAIN!!!!!!
But what else has gone on since March 5th. Lots of soccer for both of the boys. Matter of fact, that first weekend of March between both boys we had 5 soccer games. No tournament, just regular season games.
I have a wonderful girl-friend that gave me a ton of baby stuff....got all that situated. With that "load" of stuff plus the stuff that another friend gave me, we are VERY blessed with baby stuff. Now we just need to get his room in order. (That should happen by the end of April, I suppose....it's a progress ya know).
We made a totally ridiculous trip to Richmond Virginia for another soccer tourney to be canceled because of what? That would be RAIN!!!!!!!! Of course, this time, the event coordinators did not cancel it until after we were in rain all day Saturday and then back comfortable in our hotel rooms on Saturday night - at 8:00pm. See, that way, they still get the second night cut of hotel profits. The boys were very disappointed, especially since they had been playing so well.
So that takes us to last week. Lola decided at the last minute that she wanted to play rec soccer. OOOOOOKKKKKAY. For those of you who know my daughter, we have tried for years to get her to play. NOPE. We gave up a few years ago. (Even the older girls on the street tried to convince her to play - she would have nothing to do with it). so imagine our shock and awe when SHE said on her own that she wanted to play. Add that into out crazy schedule too. I just realized when talking to Hubby this morning that he will have to at the soccer field every day this week. hahahaha. (notice I said "he".)
Also last week, I managed to get a horrible stomach flu. Not good when you are prego by the way. Mom and Dad also got it. Go figure? It was so bad, Hubby stayed home from work on Thursday. Hubby has never stayed home from work to take care of me. EVER. (Obviously it was because I am prego, duh.) It was bad and that's all I have to say about that.
I finally started feeling better on Saturday, which was a good thing because Mom, Lola and I were hosting a bridal shower for the young lady that has Lola as her flower girl in April. Lola as an absolute delight as a co-hostess. She served drinks, opened the door, took dirty plates, that whole nine yards. It was precious. And she looked too adorable.
Then we went to Boone yesterday for a soccer game for Crash. It was a good game. Crash's team won, but lord help them at practice on Tuesday - I think their coach was not to pleased at how they played, even though they won. (PK from a hand ball in the box from other team and we happened to score on the PK, otherwise it would have been a tie...they just were not taking shots or finishing as they should....coach not happy. I know that because I sleep with the guy.)
So today is Monday morning. Kids are off at school already. Hubby is on way to work. I will attempt to get caught up on the stuff that fell behind last week around the house. Laundry is started, need to clean bathroom, try to get some of the baby stuff up into his room instead of in my dining room.....
Washer just buzzed......
Cutts, I am back on track so you don't fall behind again!!! :)

A good day.
You know you are having a good day when.......
- Sun is shining.. might even hit 55 degrees today.
- 7:45am meeting cancel.....which meant I got to go back to bed after the kids left for school. Watched Crossing Jordan rerun and Guiding Light from yesterday.
- Get a Hot bath.
- Get a PEDICURE. the little Vietnamese lady felt sorry for me because I said I couldn't comfortably paint my toes anymore, so I got an extra long massage and paraffin wax on the feet.
- Then, get a Five Guys Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries to go and came home and watched an episode of Trust Me. Which is actually a good show, just took a few episodes to get into it.
- Get a call from cousin saying that we've got the cottage booked for Nags Head 09! Remember, we had to change plans when we found out when the bun in the over was due......so not only did the date change, we had to find a new cottage...... so this is the new cottage, which is very similar to the old cottage, just has 8 bedrooms instead of 10.
Life is good.

Celebrity Apprentice
We live by the DVR. Just do. Makes the time we spend watching TV much less....ya know, since we are flying thru the commercials. (Oh, and I can keep up with my soaps in like 2.4 seconds, cause right now, I only watch the parts with PHILLIP SPAULDING! But that's a story for another day....and did ya see the Mindy is coming back for a visit!!! Crazy!!!)
ok - back on track. Celebrity Apprentice. What makes one a "Celebrity" and who votes on the their Celebrity status.
http://www.dictionary.com/ says this .... celebrity Noun (duh) a famous or well known person.
Right there, I think that eliminates 1/2 the cast this season!! Forget the "You're Fired" part. Not a celebrity, can't be on Celebrity Apprentice.
Annie Duke - seriously? does anyone watch Poker on ESPN? Umm - not in our house. We want quality tv people. Who the heck is she besides some mouthy little wench who doesn't want to sell cupcakes for $7000?
Andrew Dice Clay - aside from his cussing infamy - what else has he done. (Which by the way, he got "you're fired" pretty dang quick didn't he?
Brande (with an "e") Roderick. She isn't even on The Girls Next Door?
Claudia Jordan - ok. Let's be honest. She holds a flippin briefcase that may or may not contain lots of money... aside from that.....nothing. nada. nunca.
Clint Black - MOST definitely a celebrity. Precious man, has the cutest little smile.
Joan Rivers - THAT FACE!!!!! What the heck - how much plastic surgery does one woman need? She looks horrible!!!!! Does she really look in the mirror and think to herself...damn, I look good!!!
And WHY is her daughter on there too? Shouldn't they only count as one person...everything else they do, they do in tandem....I'm just saying!
I love Khloe, but keeping up with the K's is one of my favorite train wrecks to watch..
I get the Dennis Rodman thing too. Poor man, very misunderstood at the looney bin. (Hello, talk about screwed up!)
And I guess in the golf world the golf chick is a "celebrity". Although I am not convinced. And the T in TLC chick? Umm - yeah - not a celebrity, at all.
I think this should be called "Some of us are Celebrities Apprentice, the rest of ya are just Wanna Be's"
And then there is March 12th! Doug Ross, MD is back!!! YIPEEEEEEEEEEE... NBC is doing something right!

It's' March 1st, so Winter is OVER, right?
NOT!!!!
Every weather forecaster and his (or her) brother is calling for SNOW here in Charlotte this evening. One idiot on the news (Channel 36 to be exact) this morning said that the kids are anxiously awaiting a big snow. BIG LIE. There can't possibly be a kid in this area that is begging for a big snow...because they know that if it does, they will lose their BIG Spring Break in April...weather man just trying to keep those rose color glasses nice and shiny I suppose.
It is still raining...hasn't stopped in what feels like 24 hours. Hubby looked out Lola's bedroom windown and told her the pool was finished, he had it put in over the weekend. Sarcasm people, there is that much rain.
Crash is still sick. He attempted going out to dinner with us last night (he had to, we had no power - transformer blew up down the street)....I will most likely keep him home tomorrow and Tuesday. He just cannot handle too much moving around.
Pootie's birthday plans had to be scrapped. We were supposed to be in Atlanta at a soccer tourney with him. He would have been with all of his buddies, happy. Not so much. Hubby and I drove him to Atlanta on Friday night, only to get up on Saturday morning and have the tourney canceled at 7:00am. So we had breakfast and came home. Good times. He did get to go shopping yesterday afternoon for his present. A skateboard. He is happy. Of course, remember, it's raining...so the extent of his skateboarding is in the garage right now.
Good weekend.
